How To Repair Broken Nose Pieces For Glasses

Broken nose pads or nose pad arms are a common problem with glasses. They can be caused by a variety of things, such as dropping your glasses, sitting on them, or simply wearing them for a long time. If your nose pads are loose or broken, there are a few things you can do to fix them. 

Method 1: Use a Nose Pad Screwdriver

If your nose pads are held in place with screws, you can use a nose pad screwdriver to tighten them. A nose pad screwdriver is a small, flathead screwdriver that is specifically designed for tightening nose padss. You can find nose pad screwdrivers at most hardware shops or online.

To use a nose pad screwdriver, simply insert the screwdriver into the screw hole and turn it clockwise to tighten the screw. Be careful not to overtighten the screw, as this can damage the nose piece.

Method 2: Replace the Nose Pieces

If your nose pad arms are completely broken, you may need to replace them. You can purchase replacement nose pad arms at most eyeglass repair shops online.

To replace the nose pad arm, simply remove the old nose piece and weld on the new ones. Be sure to use the correct size nose pad arm for your glasses.

Tips

* Be sure to clean your glasses thoroughly before repairing them. This will help with the welding

* Do not use super glue ❌️ 

Super glue fumes can be harmful if inhaled and once it gets on your lenses, your glasses are finished.

* If you are replacing the nose pieces, be sure to measure the old nose pieces before purchasing new ones. This will ensure that you purchase the correct size nose pad / arm for your glasses.
